Illusions at The Mystery Spot
The Mystery Spot is a cabin on the side of a steep hill in Santa Cruz, CA that appears to defy gravity. While here our tour guide gave us some demonstrations that made us reconsider the laws of physics and also gave us some common theories on why this place defies gravity. My favorite theory is that the earth’s magnetic fields has somehow affected this spot in the forest more than others.
Historical Fact: This place used to be a site of a lumber yard.
This is a fun spot to visit with kids. It does sell out fast in the summer.
